Devlog #4 - Pivot!
Hey! Long time no talk!
So it has been almost 2 months since my last update, and even then, that was a very very small update to let you all know that I was still working on the game. The good news is, that's still true! Of course life and work take priority, but I have been making some great progress!
The biggest piece of news is that I have successfully implemented the rot.js library! Which basically means, really awesome dungeon generation and FOV calculation. Turns out, any game I try to make ends up being some form of roguelike, can't seem to help myself!
There of course will still be some form of story in Court of Ire, but I am starting to lean the game more towards a exploration/rogue-lite experience. Probably stemming from me playing so much Diablo 4 lately. I couldn't find many examples of a game that uses Dragon Warrior combat in a roguelike (by that I mean, random encounters instead of combat by bumping), so this may end up being a horrible idea but we shall see!
Anyway! No in-game update for now as I still want to polish some things up, but just wanted to let you all know I'm still working hard on this :)
Thanks again for the support and please let me know your questions, comments or concerns!
