Soulpad

Secure, local journal

Each journal entry is encrypted and stored locally on your device. If you want them in the cloud, just point Soulpad to a folder in your cloud drive, and it will save the entries there.

Note: This means you cannot recover your entries if you ever forget your password.

This is meant to be a spiritual successor to my previous tool, Jern. I wanted something a bit less cumbersome to use that had nice features like being able to choose the font and a zen mode. Jern works fine for what it is, but Soulpad is much more focused and refined. I designed it for how I like to use it, but please feel free to suggest any features you want!

- AES-256-GCM encryption for all of your entries using a shared password (never stored anywhere)

Pricing Model

I chose $5 to help cover the costs of application signing, which makes the experience of using Soulpad easy for you. There is no DRM or anything like that. If you aren't able to afford it but feel like Soulpad would help you, you are welcome to build from source. You just need .NET 10 installed.

The source code is available under a simple EULA. You can view, audit, and build it for personal use, but redistribution and commercial use aren't permitted. Any content you create with Soulpad is entirely yours. (Think of Aseprite)
